Colin Jamieson (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates https://www.taxing.it (the “Site”) and is responsible for your personal data when you engage with his firm and where we provide you with tax and legal services (the “services”).  This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information we receive from users of the Site and from clients of the firm. We use your personal information only for providing and improving the Site and our Services. By using the Site and Services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1  Information Collection

2  Log Data

2.1    We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Site (“Log Data”). 3.1    Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

4  Cookies

4.1    Cookies are files with small amount of data, which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a web site and stored on your computer’s hard drive. 5  Anti money laundering rules

Regulations require that we keep client identity information and documents for a certain period of time after a client signs up, even if they are no longer clients of the firm.  For non-active clients this information is kept on encrypted computer systems accessible by us. We will only access the data upon legitimate request presented by a governmental authority or agency.

6  Controlling your personal information

6.1    You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your Personal information. There are no circumstances in which we will pass your information to any third party for direct marketing or other purposes, except where we are under a definite legal obligation so to do. The information and data collected is used only in the furtherance of our services. We may grant authorisation to sub-contractors engaged  by us to assist with IT matters and data managers. Where we do so we ensure that they are bound by the same data protection obligations as apply to us and we are always responsible for the security and confidentiality of your data.  If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for in order to receive communication from us, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us at info@taxing.it

6.2    We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties.  You have the right to ask us to inform you about the information we hold about you, amend it, erase or delete it, and restrict how we process it or with whom we share it. We undertake to fulfil your request without charge and within 30 days.  The data and backups may be stored at any time in or outside the EU, but our access to the data is always within the EU.

6.3    If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. We will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

The security of your Personal information is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
